William F. "Buddy" Wise, Jr.

Founder of Wise Insurance Agency | 1932-2021

William F. “Buddy” Wise, Jr., born on October 1, 1932, in Frostproof, Florida, was a visionary and community leader who laid the foundation for what is now one of Polk County’s most trusted insurance agencies. In 1952, he founded Wise Insurance Agency in Bartow, Florida, with a simple mission: to serve and protect his neighbors with honesty, integrity, and personalized service.

Under his leadership, the agency grew to become a respected name in the insurance industry, known for its commitment to clients and the community. Today, Wise Insurance continues to uphold his values and legacy, serving Central Florida with the same dedication Buddy instilled from day one.

Buddy passed away on February 6, 2021, in Lakeland, Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a devoted family man, and a pillar of the Bartow community. Though he is no longer with us, His legacy continues each day through "The Wise Way" reflected in every policy written, every client relationship built, and every life served by Wise Insurance.

He will forever be in our hearts.

Jamie Blair is the 2nd generation owner of Wise Insurance Agency LLC, an independent agency proudly serving Florida. With over 17 years of experience, Jamie specializes in assisting businesses protect their assets and lower their total cost of risk with various risk management strategies. She is passionate about simplifying insurance and providing clear, customized solutions for every client.

While not at work, Jamie is a devoted mother to her two children and the proud wife of a local contractor and business owner. She values family, community, and building lasting relationships with her clients.

Homeowner Specialist

Theresa Whitman has been in the insurance industry since 1991 and serves as Wise Insurance Agency’s Homeowners Specialist. Known for her expertise and attention to detail, Theresa takes pride in managing risk and tailoring each client’s policy to their unique needs. As a homeowner herself, she understands the ins and outs of homeownership and uses that insight to provide exceptional guidance and peace of mind.

Outside of work, Theresa is a devoted grandmother and loving wife who enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Lacey Warden has been serving clients in the insurance industry since 2005. Lacey takes pride in simplifying the insurance process and ensuring that each client has the right protection in place for their unique needs.

Outside of the office, Lacey is a devoted mom who brings the same care and dedication she shows her family to the clients she serves every day.

Hi, I’m Kyle, part of the Personal Lines Client Support team. I handle personal lines policy questions and billing inquiries, aiming to resolve concerns quickly and accurately. With a background in administrative and customer service roles, I’m here to assist our clients the Wise Way' through clear, efficient support.

My goal is to provide dependable support and help clients feel informed and confident about their insurance coverage.

When I'm off the clock, you'll likely find me binge-watching my favorite series while enjoying some good takeout. ☺️

Outside of work, I stay active with a rotating list of hobbies like journaling, discovering new coffee spots, spending quality time with loved ones, or heading outdoors for a bit of adventure. I enjoy finding different ways to unwind and recharge.

Hi, I’m Merle!
I’m the office’s emotional support and official greeter. If you need a little love and attention when you walk in, I’m your girl!.

The Wise team takes great care of me it’s a full team effort to take me outside, feed me, and spoil me with treats. I’m also known for loudly announcing when a lizard dares to show up at the window.

Outside the office, I’m all about chasing cows and horses and playing with my family. As a Jack Russell, I’m packed with energy and full of life, always keeping things lively wherever I go. My family takes me everywhere. Jamie is my mom.
